    Lucy + Norman Privacy Policy

    This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from lucyandnorman.com (the “Site”).


    PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

    When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site.     Additionally when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers, email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information”.

    When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.


    HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

    We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:
    - Communicate with you;
    - Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and
    - When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

    We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).


    SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

    We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above.     As described above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you.     Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.


    DATA RETENTION

    When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.


    CHANGES

    We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.

    Production Time

    All products are made to order. 

    We practice slow fashion, saint style.
    We want to be remembered for the quality of our products, not the waste we leave behind. So we choose to deliver only made-to-order products and carry zero inventory. This product is made especially for you as soon as you place an order, which is why it takes us a bit longer to deliver it to you. Thank you for making thoughtful purchasing decisions!

    We take about 3–8 business days to create apparel products (t-shirts etc.) and 3–5 business days for non-apparel (mugs, decal, hats, home etc.) products. Then you should add shipping times on top of that. Speed and price depends on product type and destination. Often our products are shipped within 5 business days or less! 

    If you are purchasing our products as gifts or for a holiday, we advise to order well in advance to guarantee a timely arrival.

    Shipping Delivery Times After Production

    We are happy to ship worldwide! Orders will have shipping added at checkout. You can get an estimate on shipping rates before confirming your order.

    Shipping carriers may experience delays that are beyond the estimated arrival date. Lucy + Norman has no control over shipping carrier delays. All delivery timelines listed at checkout are estimates only and may vary.

    Multiple Products

    If you order multiple products, they may be shipped separately and may arrive separately at different times.

    An example would be if you order a t-shirt, a mug and a print. The shirts are mailed in poly bags, mugs are boxed, and prints are shipped in durable tubes so they may all be shipped separately.

    If you order multiple t-shirts, they may ship separately as well due to when they are printed.

    Customs, Taxes + Tarrifs

    We do our best to have your product made and shipped closest to wherever you are with our worldwide partners. Buyers are responsible for any customs, duties, taxes and tarrifs that may apply upon arrival. Delays due to customs are unfortunately out of our control.

    Due to frequent changes and unpredictable enforcement, we don't collect duties at checkout—the customer is solely responsible for import duties, if they are collected. 

    Here's what you need to know:

    Right now, some parcels may be subject to additional duties or taxes upon arrival, depending on how local customs officers choose to process the shipment. This means that: 

    • You may or may not be charged tariffs—it varies case by case.  
    • Some parcels are being returned to sender without clear reason or explanation. 

    In practice, small parcels often arrive without extra steps for the customer, and return to sender is unlikely.

    Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this together. 

    Refunds + Returns

    We want you to be happy with your new purchase! If our product does not meet your expectation, please contact us within 5 days of receiving your item and we will do our absolute best to make you happy.

    We do not accept returns unless it is due to a manufacturing defect.We only replace items if they are defective or damaged, not for a wrong size ordered. 

    Please email us photos of the product, with details of the defect. If the measurements are wrong to the size ordered, take a photo with a measuring tape next to it and the label. Sometimes products can be accidentally labeled wrong. We may need photos of the shipping label as well in some cases.

    Items that are replaced will be identical to the original order and have the same design unless it is determined by Lucy + Norman that a change would be beneficial.

    Damaged During Shipping

    If your item(s) are damaged during shipping, please notify us within 5 business days. Please email us a photo for verification. 

    Lost Package

    If a package is lost in transit, please contact us no later than 30 days after the estimated delivery date. Delays due to customs is unfortunately out of our control.
